Day-01: Cochin-> Munnar: Arrival at Cochin airport from where our representative will transfer you to Munnar which is about 135 kms away. Munnar is one of the top hill stations of south India and is 1800 meters above the sea level. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and freshen up. Later visit the tea estates. Enjoy dinner at hotel and stay overnight.
Day-02: Munnar: After morning meal, gear up for a full day visit to Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park, which is the best place to spot Nilgiri Tahr (Hermitragus Hylcrious) a type of mountain goat found in south India. Also explore Mattupatty dam. Later return to hotel and stay overnight.
Day-03: Munnar-> Periyar: Post morning meal, transfer to Periyar that is about 120 kms away. upon reaching check-in to the pre-booked hotel and later go for an afternoon sightseeing covering the destination like Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Cardamom Hills regions of the Western Ghats. Return to hotel by evening and enjoy dinner. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day-04: Periyar: Morning after breakfast, enjoy the boat ride in the sanctuary delimited by the hills. Also see the wildlife creatures including elephants, wild dogs, gaur, otters, kingfisher, freshwater tortoise &bird species like heroin, hornbill, water as well as fishbowls. By noon, take a trip to the spice plantations. Return to hotel by evening and stay overnight.
Day-05: Periyar-> Kumarakom: Post a refreshing morning meal, leave for Kumarakom, which is about 121 kms away. As you reach our representative will transfer you to the hotel. Kumarakom adjacent to Kottayam is a recognized backwater destination and also there is a famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. This sanctuary is rich in flora and fauna along with an exotic species including the Dater or Snake Bird, Golden- backed woodpecker, Little Cormorant, Crow Pheasant, Night Heroin, White Breasted Water Hen &Tree Pie etc. The best season to spot migratory birds is from November to March. Enjoy dinner at hotel and stay overnight.
Day-06: Kumarakom-> Houseboat: Take pleasure in the delicious morning meal and leave to board the houseboat from Kumarakom quayside. Check-in to the boat upon arrival and get ready to explore the breathtaking ambiance of Kerala backwaters. Sail around the coconut palms, paddy fields, villages and spot fishermen & serene rural life. Your lunch, dinner and breakfast will be arranged at the houseboat. Stay overnight in the boat.
Day-07: Houseboat-> Alleppey-> Cochin: After a lip-smacking breakfast, halt at Alleppey. Alleppey is also a breathtaking backwater destination and boasts a wonderful channel of narrow canals and water bodies. From here you will be transferred to Cochin that is about 70 kms away from the place. As your each, check-in to the hotel and get ready to explore the city. Visit St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, Chinese Fishing nets and Dutch Palace. Your overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day-08: Cochin Departure: After breakfast, transfer to Cochin airport to board the connecting flight to your home. Kerala backwater tours ends where with sweet memories.
